Limerence
(What the sea told me)
This is how the ocean offers itself
unceasingly. A gift for us.
This is the balance of substance
and liquidity. A lesson for us.
We are at any moment
only an instant of who we are -
each thought a fragment,
a wave scattered.
We are sea we are stone we are sky…
always ending, always becoming -
our own zone of absolute
impermanence.
washed by water,
lulled by time, licked
by light and filled with all
the urging surging limerence of life.

"We are at any moment only an instant of who we are". So deep. Such beauty. You remind me of David Whyte often, Dave. You have such serene wisdom and beautiful language as well as skill to deliver it. Thank you for writing, my friend.
