My country. Our addled wingnut king. The shame. But then I got to thinking about all the presidents before him who did, or tired to do, the same thing. Bush. Regan. Kennedy. And all the stuff with Nixon I can't even. And Jackson, dear god. All the back through our history. So much up-yours and we'll do what we please so take that and just make us why don't you? I would be more ashamed, except we've been blindfolded dwelling in shame all this time. Difference now is our president is wide open lookie lookie me! about it. The world is balanced on a wheel that just keeps turning. To bad we can't feel its motion until it's too late.
Hi my friend. Yes indeed. I added my comment to this on your restack - for which I send my thanks. My post was not great poetry, but it is heartfelt. I had been planning to write about my recent day exploring a valley in a rainforest, but events the night before took precedence. I felt the need to speak out because silence is complicity.
Is it brave to hope that having started like this, the year can only get better? I hope so, for all of us.
I hope so too, my friend.
Best Wishes - Dave
You speak for me too David 💥
Thank you, dear Geraldine.
I send my best wishes to you. Good people are needed more than ever...

Also, I would like peace. Or at least, peace in the corner where I am, the selfish human sort of peace.
Peace is something all communities need - but which certain individuals in all societies abhor....
